5v5 TS General Principles: Teamwork & Survival
Core Concepts (Team & Survivor)
- Teamwork is Key: Coordinated team play vastly outweighs individual skill. Prioritize group actions and attack together. Being alone is dangerous.
- Survival First: Avoid needless exposure. Don't take risky positions. Aim to minimize early deaths on your team. Stay alive to neutralize threats.
- Threat Prioritization: Always focus on the biggest immediate threat to you or your team during fights.
Team Play & Coordination
- Act Together: Always be aware of teammate locations (use the minimap!). Operate in pairs/groups and regroup quickly if separated.
Fight Together: Join ongoing team fights promptly, even if low health/ammo. An extra gun makes a difference. Support directly rather than attempting slow flanks.
- Successful Rushes: Require simultaneous, focused fire on outnumbered enemies. Prepare positions quickly and cover flanks. Follow the rush unless critically low HP.
- React to Rushes: Fall back to your team when facing an enemy rush; avoid solo stands.
Covering & Trust: Cover retreating teammates. Trust teammates to hold their positions so you can hold yours.
Individual Play & Awareness
- Ready to Shoot: Always be ready to fire when exposed or entering new areas. Avoid unnecessary actions like random reloads or holding nades/knives when moving.
- Post-Fight Caution: After a fight, wait briefly before healing/reloading in case enemies push.
- Engagement: Only shoot if you have a line of sight; otherwise, reposition to break the enemy's line of sight.
- Retreat Smart: If clearly losing a duel, retreat and get healed. If critically low HP, stay hidden and wait for a medic unless a fight is immediate.
- Movement & Noise: Avoid unnecessary movement or weapon switching (makes noise). Manage stamina to avoid loud breathing at bad times.
- Duels:
- 1 vs Many: Avoid jumping/fast movement. Focus on spotting and shooting first. Speed doesn't beat a defensive setup.
- Many vs 1: Attack together (spread out) with full-auto fire to maximize damage quickly. Don't go for flashy plays.
Minimap Usage
- Check Regularly: To avoid isolation, spot uncovered angles (watch arrow directions), and predict enemy movement.
- Unique Colors: Use distinct arrow colors for easy teammate identification.
Medic Procedures
- Safe Healing: Choose safe, covered spots away from potential nades/angles. Medic usually decides the spot.
- Positioning: Heal from non-blocking positions (e.g., diagonal, crouched behind).
- Order: Heal one person at a time (one heals, others cover). Wait your turn if multiple need heals, cover from a distance.
- Patient: Stay still while being healed. Don't start healing a teammate who is still moving to safety; cover first. Only heal those who are ready/request it.
- Noise: Bandage sounds attract enemies. Pause long bandages mid-way to check for safety.
Communication & Other Tips
- Smart Callouts: Share accurate, useful info. Don't just shoot without informing teammates. Avoid solo chasing.
- End of Round: If needing /kill for a reset in a losing scenario, ensure everyone does it before the 5-second mark.
- Weapon Choice: Don't default to the Desert Eagle, especially at range when your primary weapon has ammo.
