.map Surface Generator Tool
Long ago this tool caused an uproar and hype over what could be constructed with it, it was revolutionary at the time. It's still quite handy now, except for the fact that most games using radiant these days are ghost towns.. This tool essentially pulls of what Maya could do in seconds, except with brushes.
I wanted to archive this, in case anyone in future prefers the Radiant -> GoDot(or other engine?) method of construction and finds a use for these.

What Does This Tool Do?
In the middle of 2008, Rambetter released his first edition of ut4_icyjumps giving birth to a new form of jump movement in Urban Terror.
While icy surfaces had been used in jump maps prior to ut4_icyjumps, Rambetter was the first to include jumps which all had slick surfaces, causing the icy movement. The success of these maps is largely due to the smooth surface angles Rambetter was able to create thanks to his Surface Generator tool.
Angles as fine and as accurate as these would have taken a level designer a considerable amount of time to get the precision that his tool is able to deliver. Once upon a time Rambetter hosted this tool online, however Java plugins and apps no longer have the same accessibility through web browsers due to the security risk (I know this now, because I just tried to get the web version working..)
I intended to complete this article inclusing information on each Surface Generator shape, but the tool is actually quite well documented and explains how each setting manipulates the results of the Surface Generation.
